Do you charge studio fees?
No, we do not charge studio fees. Our prices include instruction, use of paints, patterns and equipment, firing and packaging. We pride ourselves on offering a superior, personalised service at an affordable price. We don't think we can be beaten!
Will the paint stain clothes?
The paint is water based and usually washes straight out. Do wear an apron if you're concerned and use a pre-wash stain remover on any spills.
Why do the paint colours look different from your samples?
The paints only develop their final colour during the firing process. We provide a sample of final colours as a guide.

Why can't I take my painted item away with me?
Painted items need to be dipped in glaze (a little like liquid glass) and then fired in a kiln up to 1020 C. We can usually get them back to you within a week, depending on demand.
I am not artistic, can I still enjoy this?
Yes, of course! All you need is a bit of enthusiasm and you will be amazed at what you can create!
Can finished items be put in the dishwasher?
Yes but this can occasionally result in the glaze 'crazing'. We recommend hand-washing any precious item.
Can finished items be used in the microwave?
It is not recommended that this sort of pottery is microwaved, it can get very hot and the heat can cause the glaze to craze.
